Coupling Press was born to read, write, distribute, and share texts we think are important, outside of mainstream channels and capitalist logics.

We believe in the free creation, distribution and discussion of political ideas and practices, in opposition to the ever-increasing limitation of freedom under oppressive institutions and governments. We think culture comes in a variety of forms and expressions, and that not only access, but active participation and co-creation of literature should be horizontal and independent from class and background.

We strive to act with an explicit awareness of the multiplicity of perspectives and needs of our readers. Some of our methods include commentaries and glossaries to accompany each other through the texts.
